Beth Schweichler, LCSW
About me
I am a LCSW with more than twenty years of clinical experience working with individuals with severe mental illness, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, grief, and trauma. I am EMDR trained and have a passion for working with individuals who are experiencing grief. I also have more than ten years of experience supervising CSW's for licensure. My approach involves supporting clients to find their own answers, gain insight and clarity, and ultimately promote their physical, mental, social, cultural, and spiritual wellbeing so that they may thrive. I identify as a person centered therapist but take an eclectic approach as everyone's needs are different. My work is influenced by my core belief that everyone has the capacity for personal growth and the ability to affect change in their own lives.
One of my primary goals is to create a safe space that fosters trust and acceptance for clients. When this safe space is created it encourages self-acceptance, personal growth, self-esteem, and healing. Integral to my process is demonstrating respect for the whole person and the unique experiences, goals, and values that they bring to the process.
