Hello, thank you for taking the time to view my profile! I appreciate the opportunity to get to know you! I have a passion for supporting and helping others and I want to let you know I honor your decision to seek help. I know this can be a scary experience but I want you to know that I will support you 100 percent. I believe the strongest people in the world are those brave enough to ask for help when they need it.
I received my masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix in 2012. The previous 10 years were spent in Law Enforcement. The modalities I use most are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). I utilize interventions from all schools of therapy depending on client need. Mindfulness, meditation, emotional freedom techniques, deep breathing and cognitive reframing are some of the tools I use to help my clients. I have a passion for working with people to discover their own personal spiritual path. I have experience working with individuals with anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief and loss and first responder resiliency. Again, I would like to thank you for reviewing my profile. Written on Nov 04, 2022 after therapy with Brandon for 1 year and 8 months on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, and self esteem
When I started seeing Brandon in March of 2021 I felt like my life was in complete chaos. One of my kids has severe depression. She battles with suicidal ideations and has made several attempts on her life throughout the year. That, mixed with the stress from my job, and other stresses in life was almost unbearable for me to deal with. I felt like I should be a strong enough person to deal with everything and that I was failing at being a mother and a person in general. What I didn't realize is how many traumatic things I was dealing with at once that were not in my control, or how many stressful things I was dealing with at once, and that maybe it was time to pull the breaks on some stuff-- and Brandon helped me realize these things, and helped me process these situations.
I had sessions with Brandon for 7 months. During that time, the help he provided enabled me to face the stressors, anxiety, and flood of emotions that I was experiencing in life. As a result, I feel like I have healthier and more realistic takes on life. Brandon took the time to really hear my problems and stressful situations, and give meaningful feedback, techniques, and resources to cope with my life struggles (tapping, mental pauses, primary/secondary fear responses, grief stages, link to a comprehensive website dedicated to helpful links and info). My life has fortunately smoothed out now, but I know if I ever am in a stressful spot again, there are tools and techniques to help me, aside from what I have already learned.
I fully recommend trying Brandon as your talk therapist. I am forever grateful to him for helping me get back to a good place mentally. He is professional but very down to earth, and I felt like I could tell him anything and he would be helpful and supportive. Thank you so much, Brandon!

I think Brandon was a good therapist. I left him and then came back, but have to unfortunately leave again. Me leaving had nothing with Him specifically, I just need to work with someone that specializes in severe mood/ personality disorders greater than simply depression and anxiety. I would totally recommend someone to work with Brandon if they are going through a rough time. I recommend Brandon for anyone needing help or simply need a guide through life.

Brandon has opened my eyes in a way I wouldn't have thought to look at life. After being medicated for severe depression and anxiety for years, I thought I would just feel the way I do forever, that it was normal. Now I've learned to embrace my feelings as a learning experience, and that it's okay to feel the emotions as they come, and not be ashamed or feel guilty. It has given a more positive outlook on life, because I now know that these shall pass, and I will be okay. I just need to hold on. I highly recommend Brandon, he is caring, doesn't judge, and I feel so comfortable telling him anything. Don't hesitate to improve your life.

I recognize that I am not an ideal client, in that I don't check in super regularly and I have failed to take advantage of the many different ways to connect with my counselor that have been offered to me. That being said, I feel like Brandon has my back. He consistently checks in with me, he seems invested in our conversations even if I email a big long rant then disappear for a week, and his responses have been rich with empathy and compassion without making me feel like I'm being "handled". I feel grateful to have Brandon as a resource and have recommended BetterHelp to my peers based on my experience with him.

Brandon validates ad listens when needed and offers tools when ranting won't help. Tapping, guided meditation, visualization, book recommendations, breathwork, and Reiki are some of the things that have been helpful in repatterning old habits and filling in the holes left by years of trauma. I like how he doesn't try to make it seem like he knows all about everything, and he has an open and frank demeanor that leaves space for mutual respect, even if he might not have the same viewpoint or struggles.

Brandon has been extremely helpful and compassionate. He responds quickly and with relevant and useful responses (which hasn’t always been the case for me with online therapy). He does so much more than just listen, although he listens very well. He has provided valuable insight and outside recommendations that I can do on my own and he follows up. The book that he recommended has really opened my eyes and helped change my perspective. He challenges some of the negative ways I am thinking and helps to identify some of my mental blind spots. I would highly recommend him to a friend!

Brandon, so far, has been great. its still early, and i have a lot more to get through, but so far he's doing a great job in listening and helping me through. Its also nice to have someone to talk to about my issues that knows how to respond with more that just "Im sorry" or end in awkward silence. My depression is very up and down, so on my downs i will need him more than my ups.

I love Brandon, he is the reason I stayed on the app, I had another person treat me poorly, and Brandon redeemed the platform for me.

Brandon has been a great help! Even if I don't respond in a couple of days due to being busy, I know he will always respond when I send another message. He's quick to respond and gives me good worksheets to work through and identify problems I may have but also identify what I'm doing right. He's a really good guy!

Brandon is responsive, and I really appreciate that. But from our first visit via video I saw something in his face that I haven't seen from counselors in the past - compassion. I appreciate the BetterHelp platform and model. It's a cool way to do counseling. But Brandon is making it work because he cares.

I feel like a new person. The things that I've always wanted to do seem possible!! I'm so optimistic and I'm so grateful for the tools Brandon introduced to me. Thank you!
