I originally started my career as a musician and then fell into social work for my masters. I have spent the majority of my time working with youth and adolescents and LGBTQ groups, but many issues have universality. I believe that no approach is one size fits all and I have experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I will gear the therapy towards a process that is best for you and your therapeutic goals. There might be times when I give you some hard tasks and give you difficult questions to answer, but the goal is for you to reflect the current state of your emotions and how is the best way for you to work through the change you wish to see

Jared has been extremely helpful in helping me deal with some current and past problems. Not injecting any of his opinion, he listens and encourages me to trust my self. Without his guidance, I feel that I would be in the same situation I’ve been in for the last several years.

I have been working with Jared Brayton Bollenbacher for two months. He has been an incredible support to me as I have worked through difficult personal issues. I am so thankful for his clear and compassionate advice, listening when I needed to talk, helping me set new goals, and celebrating when those goals were largely accomplished. I don’t think I would have made such progress without his help. I’m so grateful! Thank you, Brayton!

Brayton has been a great fit for me even though I’ve already had a lot of therapy in the past, and I’m so glad to find someone like that on the platform. I’ve heard from people that if BetterHelp isn’t your first therapy experience it can be hard to fit someone that’s right for you. If you’re struggling with this, Brayton might be a good person to try meeting with. He’s straight forward in a way that works really well for me, and gives excellent guidance. An example is that I was taking some time off after a particularly stressful period and talking about what I’m going to do with it. He was like “or, you could just do nothing.” It seems obvious now but I needed someone to say it, and I think that’s a lot of what therapy can be for people.

Brayton is such a helpful counselor! During our time together, he was able to get to the core issues through asking thoughtful questions and using excellent listening and observation skills. Definitely couldn't have survived this year without his support! He is very trauma informed and understands the complexities of the stresses of the world and how it can affect mental health.

Quick, prompt, and to the point. 30 minutes may not be a long time, but his being concise really helped me get at the core of the issue.
