Brendan Twist, LCSW
About me
I work with adults, children, and families on issues including depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, addictions, grief, anger, family discord, and workplace distress. My goal is to bring warmth and acceptance to all my sessions and to provide clients with concrete skills that they can use to help solve their problems and live more fulfilling lives.
My core modality is DBT (dialectical behavior therapy), which teaches emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness (learning to nurture relationships while also getting your needs met). I'm also trained in CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), narrative therapy, and play therapy.
If you or a loved one is dealing with a mental health issue, you're struggling with one or more of the relationships in your life, or you simply feel like you're in a rut, I encourage you to reach out! I believe in building trusting relationships and collaborating to find strategies that help clients feel happier and more balanced.
