About me

Hi! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Colorado. I have 5 years of experience working as a mental health therapist. I recently moved to Colorado from Pennsylvania because the mountains called, and I believe in creating a life worth living. In Pennsylvania I worked for an outpatient center in Pennsylvania where I was therapist for their partial hospitalization program, intensive outpatient program, and started 2 outpatient groups. I worked primarily with adolescent & young adults but also with adults of all ages. I have the most experience serving: persons experiencing difficulties functioning, school avoidance, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, suicidal ideation, self-harming behaviors, LGBTQ+, family conflict/dysfunction, impulsive behaviors, grief, and relationship issues. I also have some background working with persons who are coping with: learning disorders, and/or ADHD/ADD.

I use a person-centered and holistic approach to therapy. I believe that each person is capable of growth, self-love, and healing. It is my goal to work with you and help you take ownership of your treatment. I do believe that mental health education is key, and I love to help my client learn how to use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to improve their skills, learn about themselves, and create the life that you deserve. I have training and experience in mindfulness as well. Cultural competency is particularly important to me and I value on-going cultural education.

I look forward to working with you!

Bridget is absolutely wonderful. She listens to me and understands my feelings and helps me to better understand them. It feels like I have this great friend to share things with and work through issues that I need to deal with.

This is my first time doing online counseling and my first time doing individual counseling ever. I have an associate's in psychology and working on a bachelor's in social work so my knowledge of how therapy works is higher than the average person's. Bridget has understood this and adjusted to my level of knowledge. Her suggestions have been helpful and full of understanding. She's respectful and caring and I really feel better after our session each week. I was skeptical going into this but decided to give it a month trial. I'll be continuing past this month. Thank you Bridget.

My first 3 weeks with BetterHelp weren't the best because I had trouble getting matched up with a counselor that had time for me and that I felt truly cared. I had 3 counselors before landing on Bridget and I am now so thankful that I stuck with the program. Bridget is kind and caring and puts forth so much effort in giving me outside tools and consistent communication when I need it. I truly feel as though she cares and wants to help me in life. It is so relieving to have found a counselor that honestly cares and listens.
