How does this work is it over chat, zoom, or phone?

I have just been having a rough go were most things are not going as planed. I just moved and the start of this year have been not going to well. I was wondering about getting a therapist, since I have been drinking and I just moved and don't really have anyone to speak with.

That's a great question! Better Help is it's own self sufficient platform that is HIPAA compliant, that means that all of your information here is protected and confidential. Better Help provides several different ways for you to be in contact with your therapist. You can use messaging (like text), real time text chatting, voice calls, and video sessions. All are done through the Better Help platform which can be accessed from your phone or your computer. Pretty much all you need is your self, good wifi, and a comfortable place to talk, everything else is taken care of for you.

There are several benefits to using Better Help versus in person therapy. One is that you don't have to wait for a week to talk to your therapist, he or she will be available, usually, Monday-Friday for check ins. You also have the abiilty to schedule video sessions weekly as needed. In addition you are able to use any and all of different methods to reach your therapist, whatever is most comfortable to you. Your therpist will set his or her own boundaries around when he or she checks in but you have the ability to message 24/7 to get your thoughts out.

There is also one more benefit that Better Help offers. You mentioned that you just moved and don't really have anyone to talk to. When you sign up for Better Help you are matched with a therpist who can fit your needs. You don't have to try to find a therapist on your own. You simply provide some information about the help you are looking for and even what characteristics you would like in a therpist- male or female and his or her specialties. This easy matching process saves you the effort of having to search for a therapist in your community.

It sounds like you are contemplating reaching out to talk to some one. Better Help could be just the resource that you need to connect to someone and provide the support that you are looking for. Taking the first step can be daunting but Better Help makes the process as simple as possible.
