My name is Dr. Caleb Reese, and I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Missouri.
I have been in the behavioral health field for 10+ years in a variety of positions. I believe obstacles can be the path to success, and I hope to be of service those who are struggling. A willingness to ask for help requires courage. I strive to provide guidance and support as we explore your inner strengths. I do not ask my clients to do anything I would not, and I recognize my own fallibilities because I am human, too. Through collaborative work and a desire to push toward change, my goal is to aid in recognizing what you have control over in order to make the most of your valuable time.
I am straight-forward yet compassionate because I believe genuineness nurtures growth. We cannot choose what happens to us; however, we can learn how to respond more effectively as we build toward a life worth living.
I am originally from the Chicagoland area and attended undergraduate obtaining a bachelor’s in psychology and minor in Psychology of Crime & Justice. Upon graduation, I moved to Southern California where I worked full-time with individuals suffering from mental illnesses, substance use concerns, and legal issues. I started a master’s program in psychology as I worked assisting families affected by gang violence, homelessness, and systemic racism. I attended graduate school in Oregon at an APA-accredited program where I received training in psychological evaluations, evidence-based practices, and a variety of training opportunities with law enforcement agencies. My doctoral dissertation was a qualitative study of voluntary transience among young adults while my graduate thesis focused on community resources and revocation rates among youth offenders. After completing an APA-accredited predoctoral internship in Washington DC, I graduated with my PsyD (Doctor of Psychology) in 2015. I received postdoctoral training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in intensive outpatient group therapy and forensic inpatient hospital settings, respectively. I have worked in the community mental health field providing individual and group therapy, conducting psychological evaluations, teaching mindfulness skills, and providing training on Motivational Interviewing (MI). I utilize evidence-based treatments and objective measures to ensure the highest quality of care for my clients while being empathic, collaborative, and validating.

Caleb is fantastic. He is an amazing clinician who listens beyond the words I say and hears what I struggle to convey as a seemingly fumble through my words. He is familiar with a multiple approaches and adapts to what I need in the moment as well as involving me in the treatment process. 14/10 would highly recommend.

I’ve only been working with Dr. Reese for two weeks now but I’ve been through a handful of therapists and I can confidently say that he’s the one I’m sticking with. He makes you feel comfortable and is straightforward with you when you need it most. He offers so many tools to help you but doesn’t expect you to do it all yourself. He’s there every step of the way. Thank you Dr. Reese!!

Dr Reese has helped me identify tools and strategies that work for me. I am thrilled at how well (and quickly) I have been able to apply my 'new learnings' in my personal life and work life. Therapy with Dr Reese has truly been a life changing experience for me. I am glad I heard about Betterhelp and proud I had the courage to reach out. The resources I have access to via Dr Reese and Betterhelp are the best investment in personal development I have ever made. Wish I had this wisdom three decades ago, lol. But ... better late than never.

Dr reese is the best
He manages to walk a thin line where he approaches my touchy subjects as a friend but still provides me objective detached useful advice.
At first i wasnt sure what i would get
Out of this except an expensive place to vent but Dr Reese has shown me the beginning of the path of self mastery. He is not my guide but he is an incredibly helpful voice to have on this journey

If you are interested in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I definitely recommend speaking to Dr. Reese (Caleb). I have received therapy for almost three months now. I was very hesitant to seek therapy again, but I'm glad that I did. It is clear that Dr. Reese is truly invested in what he does. He doesn't make assumptions or jump to conclusions about what I share with him. He's been extremely supportive throughout many difficult moments. It also doesn't hurt that he's a cool guy with a sense of humor.

Dr. Reese is just the counselor I needed. He’s very encouraging and empathetic, and I never feel judged. I always feel like I can say exactly what’s going on and he gets it. He has given me a lot of ideas and tools I can use, and I really feel like my mental health is improving and I’m getting better in a lot of areas. He’s a great listener, and he is flexible and provides different strategies if something doesn’t work for me. I am very grateful for his help!

Dr. Reese is understanding, prepared, accepting, thoughtful all while setting boundaries and expectations high enough to be attainable. Dr Reese admits things he’s not an expert in allowing for more things to be accomplished on things he is knowledgeable about. The references provided and materials used are helpful and provide a road map for understanding what we discussed in sessions.
