About me

Hello!
If you are here seeking therapy to overcome a personal struggle, or are wanting help with learning how to cope with a life circumstance, or you’re just seeking warm encouragement as you work towards finding contentment in your life, you are in good company! Therapy is a great resource that helps individuals achieve confidence in living the life they love, support for developing healthier relationships, & education for obtaining coping skills & cognitive skills to navigate life's ups and downs or the mental health struggles you may find yourself experiencing. Whatever the reason you are here, welcome! I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC-MHSP) with 6+ years experience. I have worked in residential and outpatient settings treating both mental health issues and addictions. I have ample experience conducting individual sessions, family sessions, and group sessions. I have worked with a wide range of mental health issues such as depression, bi-polar disorder, anxiety (mild-severe), and stress.
I have ample experience with treating addictions, behavioral health issues, and relationship struggles. My most commonly used therapeutic approaches are Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Client-Centered Therapy. My personal style is a warm, laid-back, & non-judgmental style approach. I incorporate validation and empathy as I listen to each client tell their stories. I believe most individuals seeking counseling hold a universal goal which is TO BE HEARD. And I am more than happy to listen! I use therapeutic tools and techniques that specifically stem from each client's individual strengths & skills. I mirror clients' personal capabilities and resilience to offer present-day solutions to their current struggles or obstacles. I thrive on offering empowerment and affirmation to boost confidence and life-sustaining change. I move at the client's directed pace and offer a safe place to share and to find healing. I know how nerve-racking taking that first step with counseling can be so please know it is OK to go slow with therapy! "Get your feet wet" to see how therapy works for you. Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Candace Copeland. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I’ve seen other therapists in the past, but Candace doesn’t just listen, she really comes at you with some hard hitting, soul searching questions which I needed. She gives encouragement when I’m making progress but also not afraid to say here are ways you can improve. She’s extremely helpful and I’m thankful for her.

Candace is such an amazing and compassionate therapist! She really listens to your thoughts/words and gives you the best feedback for your situation. She will even pull on her own experiences as examples of solutions or pathways that could be a possibility to help in my situation and that is such an unbelievably refreshing viewpoint!
