Caprice Pino, LPCC
About me
I have been licensed in New Mexico with 16 years of professional work experience. I have decades (since 1997) of experience in the mental health field, working in residential, adult and juvenile criminal institutions and private practices. I have experience and training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT), Certified in Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) Certification, and Certified in Clinical Anxiety (CCATP). My passion is helping clients with stress and anxiety, coping with addictions, trauma and abuse, motivation, self-esteem, and confidence. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.
I completed my undergraduate work in Psychology and Criminology at the University of New Mexico and graduated with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I currently serve on the New Mexico Counseling Board Ethics Complaint Committee, and in the past, I have served on New Mexico’s House Memorial 14 Task Force for Substance Abuse & Prenatal Care, New Mexico’s Board for Children of Arrested Parents, Governor Richardson’s Blue Ribbon Prison reform task force. I was a National Provider and Presenter with President Obama’s Responsible Fatherhood Initiative and the winner of New Mexico’s YWCA Women on the Move Award.
It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!
