Carla Rivera, LCSW
About me
Everyone crawls, walks, runs, or stumbles on their own path of their lives. I am a US Army Veteran who decided to follow my dreams to help others reach theirs. I earned a BS in Psychology, a MSW, and am a LCSW. I am also a Certified Dementia Practitioner. From addiction and trauma therapy, to geriatrics, to child, couples, and family therapy with much more in between, I can help you find a solution to live your best life and manage the path you want to be on. I will always ensure my clients feel safe and secure when speaking with me. You are the expert of your own life, and I will always respect you as such. There is never any issue too small or too big to bring to the table. I will do my best to assist you in identifying your goals and finding the best solutions to reach them. I work with clients from a nonjudgmental standpoint. It is so important to trust the person you are processing your life story with, and I will always ensure you feel safe with me. I always try to think “outside of the box” because I know every individual is different and solutions are not “one size fits all.” I enjoy using a strength-based solution-focused approach. I believe Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can be useful in many ways.

Carla is the absolute BEST!! I feel so comfortable talking to her and that was a huge concern of mine before starting. She is so reassuring and listens carefully. Just adore her as a person and therapist!

Carla is a caring and thoughtful therapist who “listens” well and stay focused. She is talented at what she does and I would recommend her for other clients as well.

Very attentive, analytical, and empathetic. If you have started to look towards your needs she will be ready to help you fulfill them. If you have trouble finding your wants/needs she is happy to help you find them. Very professional but not at all cold, very warm person. Makes sure to let you feel in control of your healing, and takes notes well so she can be effective for venting without feeling lost. I don’t always feel calm with new people but she is an excellent presence to have in a vulnerable place.
