Carmen Porter, LPC
About me
Welcome to Kairos Counseling and Consulting LLC. Im Carmen. I am Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) in the state of Pennsylvania. In 2014, I received my masters degree in counseling psychology from Chatham University. Impacting individuals and families; helping them to experience resilience, growth and transformation through difficult experiences and life transitions has continued to be my primary motivation. My clients are usually self-aware, observant, strong, intelligent, and sensitive; desiring the skills or motivation to move forward. But also may feel overwhelmed, ashamed, anxious, depressed, self conscious and/or defeated. My role in your journey will be to assist you in managing physical, emotional and experiential symptoms that have kept you stuck, process distressing experiences and envision a future grounded in hope.
Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I look forward to supporting you in that journey. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. And your treatment plan should be tailored to meet your unique and specific concerns. In our first session we will get to know each other to determine goodness of fit understanding of how I can best serve you. We will discuss your leading concerns along with the impact it has on you. Together we will develop goals to guide us over the next few sessions.

Carmen is incredibly attentive and intuitive. She is able to approach my problems very gently and offers a variety of solutions and approaches. She listens with sincerity and allows me the dignity I thought I’d lose by sharing my honest personal experiences. She’s a wonderful therapist!

She responded in a very timely and respectful manner. She was also very descriptive in her profile when she reached out to me and I could immediately tell that she would be a good counselor for me because of her beliefs and background.
