Carol Queen, LCSW
About me
I am licensed in North Carolina with four years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, depression, relationship issues, anger management, & motivation, self-esteem, and confidence. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!
Life can be unpredictable and can impact how a person copes with the stressors of everyday life. During chaotic times many clients have mentioned feeling overwhelmed, angry and anxious about their current situations. Regardless of the circumstances that led to someone reaching out for therapy, they took the first step toward wanting to change. Therapy can provide a safe and nonjudgmental space where you are validated and encouraged to express how you feel. My goal is to foster a strong therapeutic relationship and help you reach your personal goals.
I am a dedicated and compassionate therapist with extensive experience in providing evidence-based counseling to individuals couples, groups and families. I have experience with pediatric, adult and geriatric clients and have served the military population while being a military spouse for a decade. Additionally, I have mental health experience serving as a therapist providing crisis intervention, substance abuse treatment and providing intensive family interventions. I have experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, trauma informed care, and I am certified in Dialectical Behavorial Therapy (DBT).
I encourage you to reach out and have a conversation. My goal is to provide culturally competent care and help individuals achieve emotional well-being and personal growth. I am a compassionate individual who believes in the power of active listening and empathy. My approach is to empower others to take control of their lives and make choices that align with their needs and values. I strive to help individuals navigate life's challenges and choices, always respecting their autonomy and unique journey.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Carol Queen. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Carol is one of the most understanding people I’ve ever met. She knows just how to “fix” things. She listens and truly cares. She is an expert at what she does. Very professional. Gives you ways to help you help yourself. She always there for me. Always! I don’t know what I’d do without her. It was just by chance I found Better Help. I was desparate for some help and I chose Carol on her credentials. They seemed to match what I was looking for at the time. But as time went on other situations arose and she knew just how to handle them. She’s versed in all aspects of counseling. I just consider myself so lucky to have found her. Better Help in my opinion is way better than going to an in office therapist 1 day a wk/month and talking for an hour. There’s just no way to get any work done in that amount of time. Being able to text Carol anytime and knowing she’ll get right back with me is truly what sets Better Help aside from in office therapists. I couldn’t be happier.

She is very communicative as well as being very attentive to her patients. She consistently checks on me which is very appreciated because for me I end up only focusing on the things in front of me. With Carol, she reminds me to never forget to take care of myself throughout the day.

She takes time to listen and understand your concerns. I am struggling with my self-confidence and loving myself which has caused problems in my marriage . She has provided me with assessments to help me identify the root cause and we are working on building my confidence. And for the first time last week, I looked in the mirror and liked the person I saw.
