About me
Hello!
I am a Licensed Independent Mental Health Therapist (LIMHP) and I have been working in the mental health field since 2007. I have experience working in residential and private practice with clients of all backgrounds. I have extensive experience working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting, teen concerns, life transitions, and a wide range of challenges, including grief/loss, trauma, abuse, bipolar, and crisis and adjustment issues.
I work from a perspective of person-centered, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and believe that the process of building rapport may be the most important step of building a therapeutic relationship. I am also trained in TAC and considered a Adoption Competent Therapist working with both children and adults with adoption issues. I believe that each individual is just that, an individual and therefore need individualized treatment plans to meet your needs. I am looking forward to getting to know you and beginning or continuing the journey you are on. When you meet with me you can expect to be treated with respect and patience, free of criticism or judgement.
For my professional growth, I continuously attend training, read literature, research special areas individualized for clients, and keep up to date on all ethical, cultural and legal guidelines in the field. In addition I supervise other therapists as well as hold group supervisions and consultations with other colleagues to be the best therapist we can be to the clients we serve.
I understand it takes a lot of courage to reach out and ask for help or support in working through various life issues. I look forward to working together with you to identify your goals and build a treatment plan that meets your needs.
I look forward to working with you!

I started speaking with Carrie a few months ago for a number of reasons. From the first time we spoke Carrie was highly professional and used her extensive knowledge and expertise to provide such great help and ways to try to overcome certain things from the very start. In just weeks I felt so much better, a great sense of trust and like a weight was lifted. Nothing was ever too much to ask. I have never experienced such an incredible service from a therapist and would highly recommend Carrie to anyone!

Carrie is absolutely amazing and I’m so thankful for all of the tools and help she has given me through my time working with her. She helped me process things I had repressed for a long time, and I never once felt judged. She truly listens to you and cares about your progress. Could not have asked for a better experience.

Carrie is the best person anyone could ask for. She is incredibly open, non-judgmental, very easy to talk to, incredibly supportive, understanding, and kind. She is simply an amazing human being. She has helped me overcome so much in such a small amount of time. She is a very talented and remarkable psychologist. I am very grateful to have been paired with her.

Carrie has been through a very hard journey with me. She's been very kind, patient, professional, non-judgmental, and I could feel like I'm talking to a friend and can be myself with her. Her support has helped me go through very dark times and face past trauma. I'd definitely recommend her !
