Catherine Kluge, LPC
About me
Hello, My name is Cate. I've been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2001. I have my Master's in Counseling from Webster University and have 20 years of experience in a variety of settings from a private hospital to community mental health center to a substance use treatment center. What I found was people have an instinct towards wellness when they are treated with dignity and respect. Each of us has a story to tell and generally want to move towards a positive outcome.
It takes strength and determination to make change in one's life. It's been an important lesson that I've learned to honor the tools that have a brought a person to the point where that person is now and I'll meet you where you are and together look at new ways to achieve the goals you wish to accomplish, increase functioning and explore new perspectives in a safe, non-judgmental environment, with the understanding that you direct the experience.
I use a client-centered approach, I'm versed in cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and narrative therapy. I work with teens and adults dealing with depression, stress, anxiety, substance use, life changes, grief issues, bipolar depression, ADHD, parenting, conflict/anger and relationship issues.
I would be privileged to work with you.

The most genuine interaction I have had with a therapist. I honestly felt comfortable talking about any of my thoughts and struggles.

I've had 2 visits with Catherine and they are nothing short of amazing. She listens, gives great advice, and explains things to me so that I actually understand them. She's been a powerful person to have on my side.

Catherine took me on as a client when I was at the very lowest point of my life and we’ve worked together through many of my issues together. She is so sweet and understanding. I rave about her to everyone who asks me about therapy because finding a therapist that is a match for you is truly a hit and miss sometimes.
