Cathrine Kearns, LCSW
About me
Hi, my name is Cathrine. I am a licensed therapist in FL with over 20 years experience in the field. I have worked with individuals and families with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship/family issues, PTSD, and LGBTQ+. I hold a Masters degree in Counseling and Psychology and a Masters degree in Social Work.
My counseling style is a collaborative process, where the therapist and client/family work together as a team to meet goals. I consider myself to be open-minded and realize that every person, regardless of background, is unique in his/her own way. I try to convey a "worry-free" zone. I want you to feel safe telling me your concerns without the fear of being judged.
It takes a lot of courage to seek counseling, and I realize that there is sometimes a stigma attached to receiving help. I take my profession very seriously and I hope that I can convey my commitment to this process.
I look forward to working with you!
