About me
With Open Heart I Wish Greetings to All,
I pride myself on meeting clients "where they are at" by initially providing much needed support and relief. Following is one of my favorite quote's - "One CAN walk over the highest mountain one step at a time." I assist you in defining your "goal" and taking your "first small step."
I am Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington with over 25 years of experience in the psychocounseling field and as a life coach. I have successfully helped clients navigate such issues as depression, stress, anxiety, grief and loss (to include the loss of a pet), eating disorders (to include weight loss surgery and management), trauma, ADD and ADHD and coping with life changes. In addition my work has taken me throughout the US and overseas providing Military and Family Life Counseling.
I appreciate that every client is unique. To that end, I approach each of you with warmth, caring, and support. I have used many proven therapeutic techniques over the years such as Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness and more to assist you to reach your desired goals. I thoroughly enjoy working with any age of client - from teens through adults with any orientation.
Thanks ahead of time for choosing me. I honor your courage and empower you every "small step" of the way toward your goals and beyond.

Very understanding and helpful.

Cathy does a good job listening. Her questions and comments help me see situations more clearly. Regardless of the direction we head, she makes a point of referencing my health and happiness. That is, we might talk at length about my interaction with my family. But she will make sure that we end with how the talk makes me feel. And she routinely validated my thoughts and actions. That is very helpful.

I have been recommending Better Help to anyone who is in need of counseling. Life is sadly just too busy to make time for a good session. It seems every time I've had one I scheduled it during my commute time. I wish I had more time to really enjoy a proper session because they have been helpful when I needed to talk through issues I've had.

I've been working with Cathy for a little over a month now, and it has already been extremely helpful! She is very easy to talk to and creates an environment in which I feel comfortable opening up and being authentic about my experiences and feelings. I had a previous counseling experience on here with a different counselor that I didn't get much value out of, and the difference after switching to Cathy is night and day. She is very supportive and adaptable to my needs. I would recommend her to anyone!

I am extremely grateful for the care and insight that Cathy provides. I appreciate that I don't feel rushed during our sessions and that the atmosphere that Cathy creates is a place of peace, love, and acceptance.
Cathy is wonderful, 10/10 would recommend!
