Charles Zaglin, LPC
About me
I am a Trauma/PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) psychotherapist licensed in Georgia with approximately 20 years of experience both as a Traumatologist in working with clients and as a researcher. As a survivor of Trauma/PTSD for over 40+ years I have been fortunate in watching and participating in the treatment of survivors from before PTSD was officially recognized as a separate and distinctive disorder by the Psychological Community in 1980.
My therapeutic style is first and foremost empathic, open, honest and interactive. Much too often individuals suffering from the exposure to Trauma live in a world of silence never feeling that they can truly tell their story without being judged negatively.
This approach combines being present for my clients along with an existentialist philosophy of self-empowerment. This approach combines the search for Meaning in one’s own life the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as but one tool to illicit s along with the realization that Trauma/PTSD is in many ways like the multiple layers of an onion.
There are numerous layers of psychological discord from exposure to Trauma than can’t be seen on the surface ranging from depression and anxiety to sleep disorders and that which lies in between. Together we will tailor a protocol specific to each person’s needs.
One of the most difficult steps in the healing process is acknowledging the negative influence these Traumatic event[s] have had and continue to have in influence your life in a negative direction. The exciting and powerful step in regaining control over your own existence you have already taken by reaching out for help.
I look forward to working with you on your journey.

Charles is a gem of a human, and I feel so fortunate to have connected with him. He is insightful, kind, caring, hilarious, intelligent, and extremely patient. He breaks difficult discussions down in a way that is easy to digest while remaining committed to truthfulness, transparency, and healing. I enjoy speaking with him as I would a friend, and each week I learn incredible, invaluable lessons. He is someone I feel completely comfortable sharing with and would highly recommend his care to anyone seeking compassionate, devoted help. Thank you, Charles.

Charles was an amazing resource for clarity during my time of grief and anxiety. Extremely relatable, down to earth, and overall an amazing listener. I felt in everyone of our sessions Charles tried to understand and learn more about me and my concerns. With Charles help and insights I have felt more at ease and happier regarding the issues that had been troubling me. I would highly recommend to someone who has suffered a loss or is dealing with grief either tangible, or intangible.
