Chelsea Moreau, LCPC
About me
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to view my profile! My name is Chelsea and I am an LCPC in the state of Maryland, a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) from the National Board of Certified Counselors, and an Approved Supervisor with the state of Maryland Board of Professional Counselors. I obtained my Masters from The Johns Hopkins University School of Education and have been practicing in community work with children, teens, families, and adults with severe and persistent mental illness for the past 9 years. I have experience in working with a wide range of clinical concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar and other mood disorders, trauma, self-esteem, adjustment disorders and life transitions, behavioral and emotional disturbances, relationship issues, and family conflict.
I practice from a person-centered approach and draw from Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution-Focused, and Motivational Interviewing interventions. I believe that the therapeutic alliance is one the most significant predictors of successful outcomes in therapy. I foster this through empathy, validation, and unconditional positive regard for each of my clients. I am passionate about challenging the stigma related to mental health and educating the public in order to reduce the labels associated with it. "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step". I am here to embark on and support you on this journey, every step of the way. I recognize that it is not easy to take this first step and I want to commend you on that.

Betterhelp definitely changed my life. If you have any hesitation about therapy or whether it's for you, this is an amazing way to start. 8 months later I'm still here and I really have been able to incorporate things I've learned into my daily life! Chelsea specifically is so understanding and really listens to all my concerns. She also remembers minute details I tell her and uses them in future sessions to check on the progress of something I've been working on, or insecurities that I said I wanted to tackle! Highly recommend Chelsea and Betterhelp in general!
