About me
If you are reading this, it means you have taken the brave step of moving forward in your life. I've always said that therapy is not for people who are "screwed up" but for people who want to learn more about themselves and become empowered to make changes.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (in both Virginia and California), I have over 22 years of clinical experience in civilian, military, and hospital settings. I am a proud female Veteran with a specialty in helping others cope with life's stressors and transitions. I am an advocate for individuals with chronic illness, and my past experiences as a transplant social worker, have inspired me to specialize in issues relating to health inequities and social justice issues.
While my passion has always been about service to others, just know that I will also challenge you in areas where you may feel stuck or defeated. Therapy is not always easy, but I am committed to partnering with you to assist on working through whatever brought you here. I look forward to working with you!

It may be too soon for me to be writing this review here. I’ll just say that I am happy to meet with Chelsey every week. I forward to our sessions and honestly it doesn’t feel overwhelming to open up and be vulnerable with Chelsey. So far my experience has been great and I look forward to becoming the person I want to be for myself and my family and friends.
