About me
Hi there!
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of IL with 10 years+ of experience in the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, residential treatment facilities, nonprofit organizations and in crisis centers. I specialize in mood and anxiety disorders in adults and adolescents, and have additional experience working as a sexual assault and domestic violence advocate, as well as a case manager within the foster care system. Currently I am one of the directors at a behavioral health hospital and conduct thorough mental health assessments on adults and adolescents who are struggling with a variety of issues including: suicidal ideations, self-harming behaviors, severe anxiety, dysfunctional family dynamics, trauma and mood dysregulation.
I strongly value the therapeutic relationship and strive to build a trustworthy bond between myself and all of my clients. I come from a person-centered and solution-focused approach, allowing my clients to navigate their therapeutic experience while remaining supportive.
My goal is to make you look forward to coming to therapy each week. I want your experience to be fun, cathartic and, most importantly, beneficial to improving your quality of life.

Nobody better at listening and giving helpful and well thought out advice about life and how it should be lived. She makes me feel like I deserve to be happy and have a good life, which goes against everything I ever thought about. She is amazingly patient (trust me on that, I can be a handful) and can always get me to think in a more positive way, which is exactly what I need sometimes. Highly recommend her for anyone who:
1) Needs someone to just talk to, she is super personable and is hilarious if that's what you're looking for. She is always there for you.
2) Is going through a tough time in life (I know I was) and wants someone to bounce ideas off of or get a secondary opinion that maybe you haven't thought about. She challenges you to look at your life differently, even if it's difficult for you to do.
3) Is constantly doubting themselves and needs to get a support system started for themselves. She somehow pinpointed the relationships I should build up (or let go) and was definitely right.
I think it's reasonable for me to say that Chrissy has almost singlehandedly saved my life, or at least saved me from a deep depression. Don't know where I would be today without her help. My first try at therapy and I somehow chose the best!

I have had a few therapists in person that mostly I have not been able to connect with or feel I got the right support. Chrissy I can say without a doubt has been amazing! She is insightful, effective, and supportive. I cannot put into words how gifted of a therapist she is. I recommend her to anyone.

Chrissy has helped me so much in a very vulnerable time in my life. I have had some mediocre experiences with therapy in the past, but Chrissy has continually made me feel comfortable regardless of what I am feeling on any given day. She also checks in if I am distant to make sure I am okay which I really appreciate. Can't even begin to describe how thankful I am for her.
