Christa Martin, LPC
About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with the state of Louisiana. I have over 8 years of counseling experience. I have worked with clients with a wide range of issues including addiction, depression, anxiety, grief, parenting issues, relationship and marriage issues.
I approach counseling from a cognitive-behavioral perspective, in that patterns of thoughts and actions are explored in order to better understand the client’s problems and develop solutions. I see the counseling relationship as a process in which my client and I build a relationship based on trust and respect, work together as a team to determine and explore presenting problems, develop goals and skills that will improve the client’s life, and work toward achieving those goals and experiencing solutions that benefit the client overall. I want to work with my clients to help them better understand themselves and the challenges they are facing, develop healthy coping skills, and to find hope in whatever challenges they may be facing.
I look forward to working with you!
