About me
Hi and thank you for taking the time to learn about me. I am a marriage and family therapist and this is my second career. I had always wanted to be a therapist but never found the time or the motivation when I was younger. When the opportunity presented itself I was a wife, mother and had a better understanding of myself. I knew what I wanted to do and the focus I wanted to take. I work in private practice with couples, individuals and with the elderly who are an under serviced population. I am also a certified grief counselor.
Having experienced therapy on a personal level as a teenager and an adult, I understood how beneficial it is. Talking with someone and sharing what you are feeling alone is helpful. Having someone who is able to help you see other options and identify things we have been closed off or unable to see, is where therapy shines. My family has struggled with anxiety and depression through my life, I have seen how mental health can influence a family's overall health. Those with mental health issues effect those around them and can cause disruption within the entire family. As a marriage and family therapist I take a systemic approach, looking at all factors, that contribute to someone's happiness or sadness.
I approach therapy with an open mind, respect and sensitivity. I utilize solution focused and narrative theories collaboratively, creating goals and finding the strengths to make changes. Progress is measured regularly to keep up motivation and to check if we are on the right track. Therapy is tough, but with help you and/or you family will find yourself in a better place.
Thank you and I look forward to working with you.

Ms. Lacey has a down to earth, pleasant and warm personality. Professional and most of all, doesn't judge. She'll ask questions to make you think and offers honest assessments when asked.
I'm leaving betterhelp for now, because of her help and sound advice. I'm not "cured" of my depression and anxiety by any means, (that's a lifelong situation), but thanks to Christina, I have a much better handle on what to do when those bumps in the road pop-up. She provided me with the tools I needed to be my best self.
She's a good person of whom I wish the very best !

Christina’s been working with me for about 2-3 months now and she is honestly a gem. Really a great listener, doesn’t rush me or judge me, and allows me to be comfortable enough to vent everything I have on my chest. It’s been a pleasure having her as my counselor.

I highly recommend Christina. She’s great! I feel better after every session. She’s recommended mindfulness-based exercises, etc. for me to do when I feel stressed, and they’ve definitely helped. She also gives great advice and is very attentive and informative.
