Christine McInnes, BACP
About me
"Who we truly are, is all we'll ever need":
I believe that each person has a unique set of strengths and qualities that they can use to navigate life's challenges. Who you are at your core is enough to face any obstacle that comes your way.
In my therapeutic work, I honour the wholeness of each individual. I believe that you have everything you need within yourself to find fulfilment and achieve your goals.
Self-acceptance is a key component of my approach to therapy. I help clients recognise and embrace all aspects of themselves, so they can access a deeper sense of self-confidence and inner peace.
I operate from the belief that authenticity is the key to healing. When we fully acknowledge who we are, rather than trying to ignore or hide certain aspects of ourselves, we gain access to a wellspring of personal power and resilience.
I'm here to help you unlock the potential within yourself. By embracing your true nature—flaws and all— you can tap into a reservoir of creativity, strength, and wisdom that will empower you to create the life you want.
I am a BACP registered counsellor and I work in the UK. I have experience in helping clients with addictions, relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma and abuse. I look forward to working with you if you feel that my approach would suit you.

I'm so happy I found Christine. She is very sensitive and perceptive, and down to earth, kind, intelligent, wise. I really admire the depth of her inner work. I couldn't have imagined that someone would have the patience and interest to keep trying to genuinely understand and support me in a deep, real way, that someone would try to see me and meet me where I am. She has impeccable personal integrity, and she has gently encouraged and challenged me to process things that I otherwise wouldn't, and it has made a very huge difference in everything. I'm really grateful.

Christine is one of the most thoughtful, curious and caring individuals I've ever met. The mix of an honest desire to help me as her client and her understanding of the underlying theory, useful tools and vast experience make her an absolutely outstanding therapist. I can't thank you enough, Christine!

I am new to Better Help and have only met with Christine a handful of times but she has been great. Compassionate, thoughtful and wise are words that come to mind when I think of her I reached out in a moment of crisis, and now that the crisis has calmed down, I still find the sessions helpful because Christine is helping me process what lead me back to this all-too -familiar trauma. My advice for anyone signing up for a therapist on Better Help is to think deeply about what kind of person you can be completely frank with. The more specifically you can describe your needs, the more likely you will find a good match, like I have found in Christine.
