I have been a therapist for 25 years and I feel that people know what's best and what they want for themselves. Many times they don't know how to get there though and need help, support and confidence in themselves to find their way. There are so many variables that get in the way including various forms of abuse, mental health issues, family issues, drug/alcohol addiction and abuse to name a few.
I love to help clients work through their issues, restore confidence in themselves and look forward to their future! I am more of a client centered therapist and use mostly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and use some Existential Therapy. I love it when clients tell me "I come from a dysfunctional family." My response is always the same. Show me a functional family because I'm not sure one exists, especially in our present world! The point is that every family has some dysfunction, but there various degrees of dysfunction. Some are much worse than others. Let's talk the dysfunction(s)that has affected you the most!
As a therapist it is so rewarding to help clients work through their issues and concerns and watch the positive changes start happening. We have so much available now to help clients with mental health concerns including therapy, medications, inpatient treatment and some very good outpatient treatment. If a person feels ashamed they have a mental health issue they shouldn't. It's very common and nothing to hide. Getting help is taking charge of your life!!

We have a very good rapport, similar views on a lot of life’s issues, and could easily be friends. When we disagree on something, we talk it out until we each understand the other’s view. She knows how to get me to refocus when I’m simply overthinking a matter, and is helping me get past the tendency to procrastinate.

Christine has been a great therapist. My schedule can be chaotic but she always responds to messages. She has been a great shoulder to turn to and cry on. Our sessions never feel like you’re in therapy but more just visiting a friend over coffee. She truly cares and it shows during the session.
