I have seen several therapists throughout my life and I’ve always looked for someone who not only will listen, but is open to giving feedback, even when it may be tough to hear. I have been extremely impressed and very comfortable in working with Dr. Nickson. I feel heard and seen and in a safe space to share my deepest thoughts and feelings, without fear of judgment or criticism. It feels like I’m speaking with a trusted, well educated friend as opposed to just someone I’m paying to listen to me. I would highly recommend Dr. Nickson to anyone seeking therapy who is going through a rough patch, negative patterns, or even needs help becoming the best version of yourself.

Dr. Nickson is awesome. Not only is he a good listener and fun conversationalist but he knows when to ask a thought-provoking question and give helpful professional advice. Having never done therapy before, I knew there was gonna be a lot of learning when it comes to being vulnerable, a lot of trust to be built to feel confident in sharing so much about my life to better myself, and Dr. Nickson has helped me to grow by teaching me the skills needed to conquer my anxiety and live a much fuller life. Therapy was the best decision for me and Dr. Nickson has been amazing to work with.

I’ve met with several different therapist over the years and Dr. Nickson is hands down the best I’ve come across. He is the sole reason I continue to use Better Help. He has helped me tremendously since I started seeing him. I can’t recommend him enough. If you find yourself on the fence on switching therapist or are looking for a new one. Give Dr. Nickson a go. Having Dr. Nickson as a therapist is like meeting up with that one friend you haven’t seen in forever. You talk, you laugh, maybe even cry, but at the end of the day it’s someone you know you can ultimately rely on to steer you in the right direction. He doesn’t let his own opinions bias your problems, but rather he expands your field of vision to allow you to see your problems from another POV so that you can come together as a team to solve them.

I haven’t known him long but he helped me through a rather difficult time involving family. He made me feel comfortable enough to open up about topics that I would otherwise never address. If you have trouble with anxiety I would definitely recommend him. :)

Dr. Nickson, is a wonderful human who listens and pays attention to detail when listening to his clients. He make sure you won't put excuses and helps you identify the issue you are facing. Whether it's several or getting the focus on the one topic. His patience and understanding is something to admire especially when coming into therapy for the first time and trying to also figure out how to share and confront certain obstacles. This has been my first time having therapy and having a therapist and to be honest I'm glad I got someone like the doc. Thank you Dr. Nickson.

Where do I start? Dr. Nickson could not be more helpful, and is very supportive but also expects me to hold up my end of the bargain. I enjoy having someone challenge me to be better. He helps me to set goals for myself that are attainable, and this approach has started to help me see that I can do better for myself. He also checks in with me regularly through the BetterHelp app to see how I am progressing and is very quick to respond when I send him a message. He makes you feel like old friends.
