Christopher Massey, LCSW
About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with four years of experience working as a therapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, parenting problems, addictions, and other mental health diagnoses. I have also helped many people who have experienced trauma, abuse, and neglect in their life.
My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, dignity, empathy, and compassion, and I do not believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, strength-based, and solution-focused modalities. I will meet you where you are at in your life and assist you in determining what changes you would like to see in your life. Based off of this, we will create an individualized treatment plan with goals that are important to you. I can teach you coping skills and strategies to manage your mental health, and encourage you along the way to recovery.
It takes a lot of courage to ask for help and to take the first steps towards making changes in your life. It is a sign of strength and not a weakness. I can assist you in your journey towards a more fulfilling and happier life. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

Christopher is someone who awoke and pushed me into the mindset of “do and not try”. As far as what I wanted in my life I was fearful of not due to factors other than myself.
I appreciate what he was able to do for me and I recommend him to other men who deal with issues as far as confidence and self-image.
I have so much respect and gratitude to Christopher and what he did for me

Chris was great to work with. I was initially uncomfortable with the idea of counseling, but once I started working with Chris, he made me feel completely comfortable. I felt like he was kind, sincere, and understanding, but also honest and direct when needed, which I appreciated. If I ever felt like I'm in need of a counselor again, I wouldn't hesitate to reach back out to Chris.

I've been having phone calls with Chris now for around 3 months and he's helped me get out of a low point in my life after a breakup. It's been greatly beneficial to express what I've been stuck with in my head for quite some time and receive support and feedback on my thoughts and the actions I chose to take. Chris has been a good listener and has provided some sound advice which has helped me to approach myself with more compassion and self acceptance. The only thing to keep in mind would be their availability or your timezone difference as this made it somewhat difficult for me sometimes.
