About me

Hello and welcome! Thanks for taking a few moments to read about me. Whether you choose to work with me or another therapist, I hope you find your path to healing with BetterHelp. I have over ten years of experience as a licensed therapist in the state of Missouri. Most of this time has been spent working within a college setting as a college/career counselor, academic advisor and faculty member. I’m passionate about working with adults in transition to help them find their calling and purpose. I also have experience working in private practice. The majority of my experience is working with depression, anxiety, self-esteem and identity issues.

Building a collaborative relationship is important to me as I learn more about you and your story. When working with me, we will utilize tangible techniques that provide symptom relief while at the same time focusing on achievable goals. I use a cognitive approach to help my clients deepen their insights into unhelpful thinking patterns. I strive to be honest and genuine in my approach since I value the importance of the therapeutic relationship as a mechanism for change.

I’m so glad you are taking this next step towards feeling better. I truly feel it is an honor to walk alongside my clients on their journey towards growth.

Christy is simply wonderful. She helps me work through my issues without telling me what to do. She is a wonderful guide/partner on this journey to better mental health.

She has been a tremendous help towards my mental health. I would say she’s one of the best counselors on BetterHelp. She does not give you the answer but helps you find the answer for yourself which has long term benefits and solutions. I highly recommend her!

Christy is attentive, kind and compassionate. I have grown and learned coping skills with her coaching. She has helped me progress through a tough year and I am very grateful.

Christy has made me very comfortable and by our second video meeting I was able to pretty easily tell her things that I normally won't talk about. I can see great potential in the techniques and tools she's giving me to use.
