Cicely Betts, LCSW
About me
Howdy!! I am a trauma-informed Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas. I graduated from the prestigious HBCU Dillard University in New Orleans, LA in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management and earned my Master of Social Work degree from the remarkable University of Houston: Graduate College of Social Work (GCSW) in 2012. I have training and experience with several treatment modalities and tailor my work to fit the needs of my clients. My experience has given me the opportunity to work with individuals, families, couples, and groups. I really enjoy working with my clients to identify and attain their goals, insisting that the client is the expert of their lives. I truly believe we all deserve to live our best life and I work diligently with my clients to assist them in the positive change they want. My communication style is assertive; encompassing honesty, candor, and A LOT of wit. I also enjoy helping clients strengthen their interpersonal relationships. I thoroughly enjoy the gift of being able to work in a field that allows me to help others realize we all have the power within us to have the life we want and deserve! I like to enjoy a healthy work/life balance which has given me the opportunity to explore my creative side. I love spending time with my family and friends AND I enjoy my solitude as well. Yes, you CAN do both! My current creative interests lie in drawing, writing, and designing functional tools to aid myself and others in making personal and work projects better organized and more enjoyable ????.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Cicely Betts. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I really enjoy my sessions with Cicely. It's chat based but it feels like we are actually talking. Cicely is observant, nice, and asks very simple but profound and thought provoking questions- each session has been different and she gives me activities to complete by our next session. I never feel silly or judged telling her my real feelings. I look forward to the sessions and I'm glad they are only chat because I don't think I'd feel as comfortable even with FaceTime. I truly feel that Cicely is guiding me somewhere and everything will come together for my betterment. I'm sooooo glad I was matched with her. She's amazing and I couldn't be happier with my first time ever in life being in therapy. Thank you Cicely.
