Claudine Lasky , LCSW
About me
I have been a therapist for over 20 years. I have extensive background and training in all facets of trauma, such as: adult survivors of childhood abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault. I am able to provide therapy to a wide range of individuals and issues, from a client who wants to improve their self-esteem to a client that is involved in a severe domestic violence relationship. My main goal is to help her clients feel happier, have deeper, authentic relationships and improve their overall quality of life.
Regardless of what brings you into therapy, my primary goal is to support you to grow and change in a way that will help you get the most out of your life. I offer validation, warmth, support, compassion, and humor with the goal of developing a secure relationship. I am also direct, but engaging, and believe that good therapy should be challenging, rewarding, and even enjoyable!
I have eclectic training that integrates contemporary psychodynamic perspectives and cognitive-behavioral techniques with current knowledge on attachment theories, body-centered methods, mindfulness, and neuroscience. In other words, I will help you to move forward from your past and support you in feeling all of your emotions in a safe, therapeutic environment. You will learn how to live in the present, and let go of painful or traumatic memories. Within the safety of the therapeutic relationship, you will learn how to let go of patterns and defenses that inhibit intimacy, and practice developing skills that lead to healthy and meaningful relationships.

Claudine was instrumental in helping me alleviate my anxiety. While we all experienced new forms of stress due to COVID, strain from my family life took a toll on me as well. Speaking with Claudine once a week and messaging throughout the week reminded me that my thoughts and feelings were valid. Claudine is easy to talk to and a great listener, having her as my regular counselor has helped me immensely.

Claudine is an excellent councilor. She is very good at listening and offering insight. When I first started seeing her I was dealing with a lot of anxiety and she was very good at putting my mind at ease. I can't say enough good things about her.

I was not sure what to expect from online counseling, or if it would be as effective as in-person sessions. Honestly, the ability to write and video chat with my counselor is even better than what I'd previously experienced with in-person sessions in the past.
It's great Ms. Lasky is able to check in with me between sessions with the messaging, and then is caught up on what I'd like to talk about before we begin our next video session. I believe that makes us much more productive here on BetterHelp.com than in my previous counseling experience.
I look forward to my communications with Ms. Lasky each week, I feel very comfortable to share with her. I appreciate her taking the time to get to know my background a little better, and I genuinely feel like she is proud of the progress I see in myself already.
Having a counselor who feels to be on your side and truly in your corner is incomparable. Ms. Lasky is so easy to talk to.

Claudine 10/10! really is a great listener and fully understanding! I love the input and advise that is given with each session. Very comfortable and feel my anxiety has decreased because now I have all the strong tension of words and thoughts that I hold back to tell my friends. She also allowed to fully understand what’s causing me to feel a certain way.
