Cody Morales, LCSW
About me
The focus of my work is to help people live life based on their values. I use a gentle, honest approach to help my clients to identify their struggles and take steps to move toward the life they want. I help my clients to improve their emotion regulation and communication skills, while empowering them to move in a valued direction. It is my philosophy that although we my not have caused our struggles we are responsible to learn and grow from them.
I specialize in mindfulness based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). The current focus of my practice is those in transitions in life ( including athletes transitioning to life after athletics), people with personality struggles and those who struggle with anxiety.

Cody has been incredibly helpful as I navigate through major life changes and family relationships. She is an attentive listener, she helps me with accountability as well as strategies for what I’m dealing with. She gives me meaningful “homework” and has a great sense of humor. I feel very comfortable and confident in her care.

Cody is like a very wise understanding friend I didn't know I had. I feel better after talking to her. She trusts my judgment about my own life and goals, and does not tell me how I should feel or ought to act, but helps me to accept my situation and understand what I actually want (not what I "should" want or what other people want me to want). So far I am very happy and relieved to have found Cody.

Cody has been fantastic. Very grateful to have had regular sessions with her throughout this entire pandemic, and the virtual sessions make it really convenient and I can have sessions in the middle of my work week. I think Cody understands me, my challenges and her counseling is helpful.
