About me
Welcome to my profile. I am so glad you are here! I am a clinical social worker licensed in New Mexico and Idaho with over 24 years of experience working with individuals and families. I have experience supporting clients with life challenges including coping with grief, loss, and change, depression, anxiety, family and career issues, and parent-child relationships. I have a great deal of experience working in Native and Hispanic communities and I am an enrolled Potawatomi tribal member. I also helped many people who have experienced trauma or emotional abuse. In addition to counseling, I conduct training sessions to help individuals and communities address trauma by focusing on their resilience.
My role as your counselor is to help you feel comfortable and supported as you address life's challenges and identify solutions that make sense for you. I want you to feel comfortable with the process as you explore various options for improving and making the best of your life. I am trained in approaches such as cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused therapy and I use a trauma-informed approach to create an environment of safety, trustworthiness, collaboration, empowerment, and cultural competence. I realize seeking counseling is not always easy. You have taken the first step to improve and create the life you deserve. You are resilient! I look forward to meeting you and being a part of your journey!

Connie has been one of the most instrumental people about helping me learn to navigate my problems and take care of myself. She is supportive, patient, and is a constant reminder that I am enough exactly how I am. That doesn’t mean that she sits by and blindly encourages me if I am making unwise choices: I love that she is able to kindly and compassionately help me realize what I really want and how I do or don’t want to get there. If I’m the player, she makes a pretty great coach and cheerleader. I’d recommend her to anyone.

I am so very thankful for the time I've spent chatting with Connie. I always felt safe sharing personal information with her and with each issue I presented her she provide me with information I didn't even realize I needed to help give me the tools to better understand myself and continue working on myself and my life. Five stars!

I've been working with Connie for a couple of weeks now and she's been amazing. We've addressed so many issues and she has provided me with educational tools and brought things to my attention that have made a difference, ten fold, in my growth. She's kind, open, non-judgmental and understanding. We've been paired well. I'm grateful for her knowledge and experience.
