I am a professional counselor licensed in Texas. I have been working with clients from all walks of life for the last 6 years. I believe in meeting you where you are and won't have preconceived ideas about what topics should be the focus of your sessions. It is my goal for you to get the most out of the process, it is your time and you are investing in yourself. In my opinion one of the most important aspects of the counseling process is the relationship between myself and you. I want you to be able to trust me and feel my encouragement and compassion for you. I will work alongside you delve into past hurts in order to heal and be relinquished from those burdens as much as possible.
I have worked with clients presenting an array of concerns including anxiety, depression, bi-polar disorder, parenting, relationship issues, kids, adolescents, life transitions, LGBTQ, prenatal and postnatal concerns. My counseling experience is in a private practice as well as a school setting. Whether you are experiencing some current struggles or just want to focus on personal growth, I would be honored to help out in any way possible.
I commend you for beginning this journey, you are courageous for searching for help. I am here to answer any questions that you may have about me or what to expect from the counseling process.

Written on Jun 14, 2021 after therapy with Cortney for 3 months on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, grief, sleeping disorders, self esteem, career difficulties, coping with life changes, and compassion fatigue
Courtney has been so kind, patient, and compassionate. She is very knowledgeable in what she does and allows the conversation to flow naturally. She really listens and offers healthy perspectives. She checks on me regularly and never pushes anything. I can tell Courtney cares about me (and from the looks of it, her other clients as well). I can be standoffish and she is allowing the conversation and professional relationship to grow organically. I really enjoy working with her and wish we could meet for longer each week!
