Dr. Courtney Corrado, Psychologist
About me
Hello, I’m Dr. Courtney Corrado, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in California. I hold a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). My clinical experience spans a variety of settings, including community mental health centers, state hospitals, correctional facilities, and private practice, with a primary focus on supporting adults across the lifespan.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in an existential framework, enriched by elements of humanistic and positive psychology. I prioritize cultivating a strong, authentic therapeutic relationship by meeting clients where they are emotionally and working at a pace that feels comfortable for them. My practice is individualized and culturally sensitive, offering a safe, nonjudgmental, warm, and supportive environment.
I aim to help clients find meaning, connection, and purpose in their lives while gaining insight into their interactions with the world. I empower clients by exploring their choices and responsibilities, amplifying their voice, and fostering self-awareness, self-understanding, self-respect, and intrinsic motivation. Taking a holistic approach, I integrate mind, body, cultural, emotional, and social factors into therapy. Additionally, I embrace the healing power of humor, which often facilitates openness and connection in the therapeutic space.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy traveling, scuba diving, hiking, yoga, and cooking. I’m an animal lover and deeply appreciate their incredible healing presence.

After my first session with Dr.Corrado I felt so much relief. She made me feel comfortable and safe when sharing my thoughts. Her attentiveness allows her to quickly assess my situation and develop a customizable plan that I'm comfortable with. I think that's very important to have in a therapist.
