Cynthia Beishir, LCSW
About me
Hello! My name is Cindy Beishir. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 14 years experience providing therapeutic mental health care to adults, families, children and couples. My approach is non-judgmental focusing on providing a safe space where you can be yourself. I do not expect people to do things "my way" but rather do things the way that works best for them in their situation. While I specialize in trauma and anxiety, I enjoy working with people who are struggling with day to day issues and need more support in addition to working with people to begin building healthy boundaries while increasing self-esteem & self-worth.
I have specialty training in a wide-range of clinical interventions including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Brief Solution Focused Therapy and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.

Cindy is very easy to talk to and makes you feel comfortable and able to open up. She listens to my concerns and gives me her point o view, along with the tools and exercises to improve and reach a solution on my own. Definitely recommend!

She is up beat and positive and not out of touch at all, comes off as like an old friend who honestly cares about what going on, and wants to know who are and what you’re about

As a man who has long had a negative opinion on therapy, it took some real lows and a friends intervention to convince me to give it a shot, but in the end I am glad I did. Cynthia very quickly helped me sort out what I felt to be an issue in my life and many ways to deal with those problems. She was kind and made great conversation which made me feel very comfortable opening up for pretty much the first time in my life. She is very well put together and experienced and didnt just tell me what I wanted to hear (which is kinda how I thought therapy was going to be at the beggining). Sessions ended in a very natural way, and I never felt like my time was up and I didnt get to say something. Overall my experience was a positve first time and I wouldnt hesitate to reccomend her and or therapy, to someone if they asked.

Cynthia is amazing! I massivly appreciate her ability to explain what the brain does and how certain activities/exercises are helping get the brain to work the way it's supposed to. I have experienced a ton of improvement with managing my anxiety since starting with her!
