About me

Hello!

I have a gentle approach to counseling and encourage a collaborative relationship to make your experience as comfortable and beneficial as possible. I use a blend of humanistic, existential, mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral techniques. I have thirty years of experience working in all mental health environments, with all diagnoses and ages doing individual, marital, group and family counseling. In addition, to suggesting books to read and the use of paper and pencil exercises, I encourage my clients to draw on their creative abilities to pull them through tough times. My goal is to help you improve your self-talk, self-esteem, reduce anxiety and learn how to self-soothe with or without medication. My mottoes are "stay in the present it's the safest and most manageable place to be", "work your problems instead of letting them work you" and "focus on what you have control over to empower yourself".

Namaste.

She is an absolute legend. We can talk about serious topics, or just fill an hour with chit chat. From divorce and co parenting problems, to new wave music, she is by far the best. Very helpful, and knowledgeable. Genuine and compassionate.

Cynthia is an incredible therapist. It's only been two weeks, and she has already done so much to further me on my journey to wellness. She's attentive, down to earth, and shows so much empathy and compassion. Her experience is extraordinary, and she's able to help me understand and reframe my emotions in ways that are clear and easy to implement. I feel like I've struck gold in being matched with her. What a healing force, what a big heart.

So far my experiences with Cynthia have been great. She is a great listener, validates my concerns, and gives advice on how to deal with the issue at hand when it’s warranted. I never feel judged by her. Very respectful and professional, but still personable.
