I utilize a Wholistic Approach which is focused on the BIOPYSCHOSOCIAL MODEL, i.e. bio/genetic- psycho/cognitive and emotions- social/cultural, religion, socioeconomic status, as this approach helps me to understand factors that may create barriers or challenges for you. Lastly, I work with couples to improve relationship satisfaction by reducing relationship distress utilizing the DEEP Approach; looking At Differences, Emotional Sensitivities, External Stressors, Patterns of interaction/communication.
I believe that therapy is YOUR TIME, I strive to quickly build a strong rapport, and a feeling of trust and mutual respect. As your therapist my goal in therapy sessions is to allow you to find time for yourself , to utilize a variety of acceptance and changed based strategies, and to reduce negative impacts in your life so you can find meaning, value and wellness.

I have been seeing mental health therapist for many years and Cynthia is the first one that calls me on my stuff. When I am sharing with Cynthia she brings up I said several weeks ago to me that is impressive it tells me she is listening to me. Cynthia challenges me with my daily schedule for inside and out. I am so paying out of pocket and for me that ought to tell you something.

While I have only had 2 sessions with Cynthia, I feel we're off to a great start. While I need to work with her more before knowing how effective her approach will be for me, I am very optimistic.
