About me

I aim to work collaboratively with my clients to help them through the various roadblocks and difficulties that life presents. People frequently limit themselves based on old assumptions and expectations and it can be freeing to start to disentangle this. The emotional pain caused by these issues is often isolating and confusing and I believe that it can be healing to have somebody else there with you to explore and process.

My approach to therapy is to use self understanding and awareness as a mechanism for change.

While my style is primarily insight-oriented, I have experience incorporating behavioral therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy into my approach.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Cynthia Yanez. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I’ve had the same therapist for the last 5 years before better help, and though she was great, I think Cynthia is a much better fit for me in certain ways. I like that she helps me try to determine the underlying motives behind my own behavior so that instead of feeling shame or guilt about them I can gain insight. I appreciate her unique perspectives on things.
