About me

Hello-
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 27 years of experience helping others, I am a veteran counselor as well as an educator. Therefore, I thrive on learning and have always been quick to master skills.
Some of the modalities I have used and could choose from are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. I also utilize my knowledge as a Registered Yoga Teacher and a Certified International Health Coach.
I would feel privileged working with you to learn about your current life challenges and how I can best help you set and meet goals that will overcome them. Let’s work together to learn what approach and strategies will be most beneficial for your specific needs.
You will become empowered and enlightened with self-awareness and strategies that will immediately begin directing your life in a more positive direction. I am here to guide you through a process that will help you reach your goals for growth. You are encouraged to express all thoughts and feeling without judgement because this is a safe non-judgement zone. Some sessions may be more thought-provoking and/or challenging than others, but I am here to help you through every one of them.
You are courageous in taking this first step in a journey of self-awareness and empowerment, be proud of this step and be ready to work together on overcoming your challenges. I would be honored to begin the journey with you.
I look forward to meeting you.

I've been working with Cynthia for over a year now. I initially started because of some turmoil over a loved one that was suffering with addiction. She helped get me through that most difficult time. I respect and trust her so much that I keep coming back anytime something comes up that I can use some advice with. She's never steered me wrong and always makes me feel sfae, valued and empowered. Thank you, Cynthia! I hope to keep working with you for many, many years to come.

Cynthia is my first ever therapist and I enjoying speaking to her about anything and everything. She is very insightful and gives me the tools to help me in my journey. She listens but also responds with new ways of analyzing things. It’s helped me tremendously viewing situations in a new light. I highly recommend her.

I cam to Cynthia to seek guidance dealing with a loved one that struggles with addiction. It was causing a lot of anxiety and unrest. Cynthia has helped ground me. She has also been extremely halpful in better understanding my addict and their disease. She approaches things from a place of compassion, which I really needed. She is always willing to follow up with worksheets, exercises and additional information which has been extremely helpful in the situation. She's also making sure that my sole focus isn't on other people; that I remember to take care of myself. I can't recommend her enough! Thank you for your help and support Cynthia.
