I practiced as a PreK-12 Nationally Certified School Counselor for over 25 years, and a Nationally Certified Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK). I Earned my Counseling and psychology degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA complementing this degree with a Faith Based Clinical coursework from the Liberty University, in Lynchburg Virginia.
I have been in practice for over 30 years as a professional counselor. My professional experiences include, both, individual and family counseling while utilizing various theories and methods independently tailored to you as the client, such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Faith Based Therapy, Motivational interviewing, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Brief Strategic Family Therapy.
I have a holistic approach to explore beliefs, thoughts, emotions, and patterns of behavior affecting daily decisions and responsibilities. As a psychotherapist, I understand that mental health therapy is a collaboration between the client and the therapist, hence, it is within the client's inner strength where the key to healing is discovered.
