Dana Davis, LCSW
About me
Hello. I am a seasoned licensed clinical social worker trained to view, not only the person; but, also the environment where one in thriving. I find there is often a link between what was and what is and I enjoy helping people gain valuable insight as to how we tend to follow patterns that are often unconscious and may lead to our repeating patterns we desire to modify. It is with understanding, not judgment, that we can achieve the ability to regain a sense of personal empowerment that will lead to the life we always desired. I have years of experience in guiding clients to develop effective communication and coping skills to navigate through some of life's challenges which may include substance abuse, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and narcissistic abuse syndrome. Sometimes, understanding that maladaptive coping skills that may have resulted from developmental trauma or exposure to adverse childhood experiences can clear a path to modify unconscious thought and behavior patterns that may have lent to poor anger management, lack of self confidence and/or a pattern of toxic relationships. My goal is for my clients to experience a safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. I find that it is in sharing our stories/our life experiences that we get better! Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and can begin powerful life changes. Welcome to Better Help.

This was my last attempt at trying to find a therapist. I struggled finding someone I could open up to and Dana was so patient and understanding. I’m so happy I took this last opportunity at therapy. Dana has helped me grow in so many ways.

Dana has been quick to respond while I’m going through multiple crisis’ in my life.. I’ve been to many therapists and I feel like she gets me and helps me use the tools I have to get more stabilized. It’s a long hard road ahead for me, but I feel much better now having her to walk me through the worst of it.
