I also am a Christian and my faith in God is the center of my life. I think there is a lot of wisdom found in the Word of God that can be applied to the therapy setting and utilized as a strength and asset in the therapeutic process. I also enjoy reading nonfiction Christian books focusing on topics such as anxiety, depression, the power of our thoughts, forgiveness, and others. I enjoy utilizing these things along with scriptures and prayer as a tool when it is appropriate and desired by the client. If clients desire, I would love to find ways to incorporate this into the therapy setting. I understand everyone has a different view on faith so I am respectful if people do not want this incorporated into sessions.
It takes courage to seek help and I understand it is not always easy. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
