About me

I have been a licensed professional counselor for 14 years, and have experience working with youth and teenagers to adults. I see individuals, couples, and families and serve as an objective professional with families to help identify problems and issues. Often times we have a tendency to direct problems at someone else, when many times the problem is an issue between people, not another person.

I have in depth experience working with issues such as mood and depression issues, stress and anxiety, anger, relationship and family dynamics, parenting, conflict, and self esteem issues. I am a certified trauma professional trained to work with traumatic experiences and responses to them. I have 8 years of experience working with military families and the unique challenges they face as well. I work from a solution focused point of view, and I help others find and discover roots to the presenting issues in order to bring about long term sustainable change. I use motivation techniques, contextual family techniques, as well as cognitive techniques to assist in promoting self awareness and realization and implementation of goals and change.

I am a non-judging person who will listen and pick up on your story and help put things into perspective. In the end, I believe that we have the solutions to our own problems, and sometimes we just need some outside input to help bring that out. Thanks for considering me as part of your journey.

Daniel is a greater listener and was able to quickly sum up my issues, and help me get some much-needed insight. His space is very welcoming without being overbearing. He knows just how much is needed without making you feel overwhelmed with too much information or conversation. I walk away from each conversation with a smile on my feeling just a little better to make it another day.

Daniel has really helped with several problems that I have faced and I can't thank him enough. He is kind, helpful and he listens and responds to everything that I have to say. I was having a really tough time and it made such a difference being able to talk to someone who understood what you were going through as well as provide detailed advice to help you through it. I can't recommend him enough.
