Danielle Guerrero, LCSW
About me
Hello! My name is Danielle Guerrero and I am a licensed clinical social worker in New Mexico. I am a life long New Mexico resident, and attended New Mexico State University for both my bachelors and masters in social work. I have several years of experience working with a wide variety of clients to include both individuals and families . I have experience working with individuals who have experienced domestic violence, families and individuals who are involved with CPS, as well as specializing in foster care/adoption and attachment therapy. I also work with individuals who need assistance with stress management, depression, anxiety, parenting support, PTSD, adjustment/life changes, interpersonal conflicts, grief and loss, and trauma.
I have a warm, collaborative, and eclectic approach to therapy that includes different evidence based therapeutic frameworks to include attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, strengths based therapy, and person centered therapy. I focus on helping people learn positive coping and communication skills to overcome barriers they face in daily life. I believe that the therapeutic alliance is the most important part of therapy, and that the most healing comes from work that is collaborative. I enjoy helping people learn how to harness their inner strength to build resiliency.
The journey to self discovery starts with a single step. I look forward to working with you!

This has been the hardest year of my life and I am so very grateful I’ve had Danielle to help me navigate it. I’m not sure if I would have survived it without her. I’ve experienced tremendous growth in my confidence, my ability with coping with my mental health and, my overall ability to move forward with positivity through the ups and downs of life.
