Darlyn Martinez, LCSW
About me
Welcome! I provide individual therapy to adults dealing with a variety of challenges including: anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions/adjustment issues, complex trauma, and attachment issues. Whether this is your first time seeking therapy or you have been in therapy before, it is important to choose a therapist that you feel connected to and has experience in treating the areas that align with your needs.
Therapy is an intimate experience, a collaboration between you and the therapist. I take that role seriously and understand that to do my best work, I need to understand each client holistically. I feel like my biggest asset is the ability to see a client's strengths, empower them to achieve their goals, and support them throughout the therapeutic process
Therapy helps uncover strengths and learn new skills that will allow you to deal with the challenges that arise in life. A successful therapy experience does not mean a person is cured, it means the person has the inner and outer resources to deal with the ups and downs of life. My goal is to help you develop the skills necessary to successfully deal with life, on your own terms.
With warmth, compassion, and a bit of humor, I aim to create a safe, supportive environment to help foster personal growth and healing.
I have experience working in a variety of settings including outpatient, Telehealth therapy , and schools. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and approved Clinical Supervisor.
I look forward to working with you!

I would say my therapist offers sound and reasonable advise. She always gets back to me in a rather quick time. I feel she has my best interests at heart.

Darlyn was very kind and helpful. She identified problems that even I wasn't able to. She's very understanding and really wants to help in anyway possible. Our sessions were very insightful, and I'm glad to have worked with her. Truly reccomend!

I’ve met with Darlyn for several months now and although I was reluctant at first to seek professional help, she made a world of a difference in my life and I’m so grateful for it! She extremely responsive, real and is amazing at what she does. I can’t thank her enough.

I tried therapy before and I felt like I didn't get much out of it or I felt like they didn't really care for me or my situation. Then I was set up with Darlyn and it has been life changing. I'm not very religious but I feel like Darlyn is like a guardian angel guiding me through my thoughts and emotions leading me to a place of peace.

Ive always known and told myself that therapy will help no matter who you are. A lot of people see therapy as something scary or meaning there's something wrong with them and i couldn't disagree more. Especially with Darlyn's help; she has made me see and look at things in a new perspective and light. I am in a much better place mentally and emotionally after a few months of seeing her and am glad i did. You can tell she really cares and wants what's best for you.

Darlyn "got me" from day one. I tried therapy 3 previous time and never really clicked with the process or therapist. My inability to cope with my feelings and circumstances brought me to Better Help and to Darlyn - and I am so grateful for it. Darlyn listens, understands, validates, but also challenges me and reminds me of the process and the self-work involved in therapy that only I can do. So grateful to have her!
