Daryl Davies, BACP
About me
I am licensed in the UK working in private practice. I have experience in helping clients with all manner of problems including stress and anxiety, relationship issues, eating disorders, and depression. I recognise the uniqueness of each person and respect their right to direct the process in their own way. My objective is to create an open and authentic relationship to serve as the foundation of the work. I want to work consciously with our problems and see what they have to teach us. They are a part of our heroic journey and our struggle with them forms the meaning of our lives.
My study of psychology has led me to embrace the theories of transpersonal psychology which honour both human science and human spirituality. Transpersonal psychology is a holistic psychology that aims at self-development and transformation. I am interested in soul and spirit and the deeper mysteries we encounter on the journey of healing.
Supporting clients in developing resilience, confidence and contentment in their life by incorporating practical action and new ideas is key to my approach. Working with clients and seeing their growth and evolution is a joy and privilege. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am bound by their code of ethics.
