Dr. David Winemiller, Psychologist
About me
I am a clinical psychologist with 30+ years experience providing mental health services to the people of Wisconsin. In this time I have worked in large medical centers, psychiatric hospitals, community mental health clinics, and private practice. My familiarity with virtual (online) service began in the early 2000s and has evolved along with the technology over the past two decades.
In my experience, the quality of the therapeutic connection with clients has been determined by our mutual collaboration, not the modality of our interaction (i.e., virtual versus in-person). When working with me, you can be assured of my undivided attention and complete engagement in helping you find a better way to approach the psychological challenges you are facing.
I have connected with literally thousands of people across the age spectrum, from adolescents to adults to the elderly. My expertise covers an extensive array of problem areas including depression/exhaustion, anxiety/worry, ADHD/autism, self-esteem, life-changes, work/career issues, family relationships, and much more.
My clinical approach is customized to best address your unique needs, and draws on the techniques of diverse theoretical backgrounds ranging from cognitive-behavioral to interpersonal/humanistic. My style of interaction is inclusive, non-judgemental and conversational; punctuated with frequent illustrative metaphors and humorous observations.
I look forward to meeting you and assisting you in your journey toward greater happiness and peace of mind.
