About me

Have you ever struggled to communicate with someone? Have you ever reached a point in your life where you just were not sure of the next step? Have you ever felt misunderstood and just could not understand why? Have you ever just wanted to give up?

We all have. And many times it just takes the courage to realize how we are in our own way and the courage to educate ourselves to have new awareness so that we can take action.

I am a trauma trained licensed clinical social worker in EMDR. I want to see people lead a well life so my approach is to find what is working in your life first so that we can use those skills to ensure the day can be okay for you while we work through addressing what is not going well or what you want to work through. How do we do this together? We identify your priorities and I coach you through how to address what is needed.

My 33+ year career has led me to my own practice where I specialize in Executive Coaching alongside wellness, life skills development, problem solving, visioning work to help my clients live a better life. My training ensures that we identify the negative messages that are in the way of your life, whether from your own creation or in toxic environments. And then we work to remove them in specific and targeted ways. Life is short and we all need to live our best life.

I am uniquely skilled to work with those in a season of life transition, grief, and anxiety. I find energy in helping couples find the joy in their marriage again and I particularly find energy in supporting parents unconditionally love their children when they find it hard to like some of their behaviors. I work with executives, athletes, military, entrepreneurs, etc. of all backgrounds. I support diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in all of my community, civic, professional and personal life.

I have been seeing Dawn since 2016/2017 timeframe. She has helped me through many chapters of my life. I would be lost without her :)

At least she has an understanding of the military, which I like. She’s good

Have really enjoyed working with Dawn over the last 2 months. Dealing with a variety of challenges from work / motherhood / dealing with daily stressors. She doesn’t jump to conclusions or try to name things / categorise things without trying to fully understand the context and focusing in moving forward with helpful tools.

I have done a few EMDR sessions with her and it has changed my mindset tremendously after facing similar challenges arrive. Would highly recommend. She does not advertise herself a lot as she has a discrete list of clients she works with. I am grateful for her support.

Dawn is like no other therapist I've ever worked with. I've been "through the motions" with others... tried and failed.. but with her, I often feel like she knows me better than I know myself. And without ever feeling pressured or schooled, she's allowed me to find my own strength on my own journey to Oz, only for me to realize that I had the power all along. For me, I think it's been about learning how to learn - regardless of which yellow brick road needs to show me the way.

Dawn knows how to get right to the issues. She focuses on solutions and helps you see things from a perspective that changes how you relate to yourself and the rest of the world, going forward positively.

Dawn has been a wonderful help to me. She is so knowledgeable, a great listener and very understanding. I am extremely grateful to work with her. I don't feel so alone now that I have her support. I am excited to start feeling better within myself. Thank you, thank you!
