Dawn Rogers, BACP
About me
Hi my name is Dawn. I have been a Counselling Professional since 2005. I have a lived experience of depression and life and how we build building blocks, one upon the other, carrying all these blocks within us. I have a depth of experience both professionally and personally especially with mental health issues with children and adults.
I love counselling and being with people. I live in reality and know the depths of pain that we can hold inside and the depths of pain this has on those around us. I also know the beauty that acceptance of this pain leads to and the creativity, the freeing and the emergence of who you really are. Over the years I have gained much awareness and experience of working with individuals with Autism, and ADHD. I am aware of the struggles that are present in every day life; masking, anxiety and more and recognise that there is not enough support and awareness out there which can add to the struggles of each individual.
I am very creative and grounded. I feel truly listening is very important.
I have done counselling over the years in numerous settings such as within schools, fostering communities, Live Well Kent (mental health and wellbeing organisation), doctors surgery and counselling charities as well as my own private practise.
Please get in touch to see if you feel comfortable with me, it is very important that you feel you can connect with me and also to explore what you would like to get from counselling.
I also have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, coping with grief and loss, motivation, self esteem, and confidence, & depression. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

Dawn always listens to me & understands my struggles & issues. She is able to interpret & explain why I feeling a certain way & relay back to me in a way I can easily understand & then come up with ways to cope & change my thought process. I’ve become better at understanding myself, why I think & feel the way I do & move forward in a positive way, so my life is easier & happier. I’ve learn a lot about myself & what works for me, because of Dawn’s guidance. Thanks to Dawn, my life is better & more manageable & I’m more confident in making decisions & able to use the strategies she has taught me, to be able to cope better with life’s challenges. Thank you so much Dawn.

Dawn is the real deal. I have worked with many therapists but I have not met with anyone who understands me as well. It is writ large to me that Dawn has tons of experience and brings that to bear.

Dawn Rodgers is simply amazing.
She has helped me believe and trust myself. Dawn is a fantastic therapist, who listens and asks the right questions that encouraged me to think and reflect and ultimately heal. She gave me a safe space to express my feelings and set homework challenges that helped me to process difficult emotions and experiences. This journey has enabled me to validate my feelings and heal. Through therapy I was able to build a 'tool kit' of ways to face lifes challenges and process them in healthy ways moving forward. I am incredibly grateful to have been tauht these tools and they will stay with me for life. Dawn has changed my life indefinitely, life feel exponentially better. It feels like can finally live my life for me.
