At the start of 2022 I realized that through BetterHelp I could finally reach my goal to work private practice full - time. Through my career, I have primarily worked with adults in various settings, but in 2016 shifted my dedication to teenagers in the criminal justice system. I have Hospice experience which is where I gained my passion for grief and loss as well as dealing with phase of life changes. This hit home to me hard, in 2016 as I watched and cared for my mother who battled Ovarian Cancer. She passed away November 2019 and I took a step back from my private practice work and just focused on my healing as well as my work at the Juvenile Center. In August of 2020, I started back up with private practice and did this with BetterHelp. Once 2022 hit, I was ready to transition from working with teens in the juvenile justice system and the parents of juvenile delinquency, to taking a step with BetterHelp full time. I have experience with inpatient psychiatric care, crisis intervention, hospice, and chronic medical illness, as well as a wide range of mental health and relationship issues. I have a passion for helping people find peace of mind and strength to work on the challenges that they are facing.

Dayna is an outstanding therapist! Not only does she listen but she provides great feedback and action items. I have had other therapists that didn't provide much feedback after my long rambles of thoughts, but Dayna takes the time to sort it all out with me and provides great next steps. I highly recommend her!

Dayna is great. I have been seeing her for over a year and she continues to go at my pace even when I don’t realize what my pace needs to be. She knows when we need to slow down if what we are working on is too intense. That shows her expertise, ability and desire to really help me. She is honest when feedback is needed that maybe I don’t want to hear but she also is very compassionate and driven to help me heal . She challenges me to continue to grow and better myself. She is … “simply the best.” :)

I am thankful to have found Dayna. Not only is Dayna knowledgeable in psychiatric health, she also understands that different needs should be met with different ways of assistance. Dayna treats me as an individual and sees me as a whole that's more than my trauma, my diagnosis, and my past. She follows up with me and sends me worksheets that she thinks will benefit my understanding, I know she cares. Through my short time with her (turning into long time), I can see that she is truly passionate in her profession and in helping patients. She does not sugar coat like many would and she does not just sit back and nod. Dayna tells me as it is and she provides feedback, showing me, that she is actually listening to me during our sessions. I appreciate having found Dayna and look forward to continuing on the road of understanding myself and healing. Dayna is truly one of those people who cares from the heart.
