About me

My name is Dayna Russo (she/her), and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in Arizona and New Hampshire, currently residing in New York. I hold a Master’s of Social Work from Florida State University and have over 15 years of experience in the field of social work. I work with individuals of all ages—adolescents, young adults and older adults—providing individual, family, and couples counseling. My areas of focus include trauma/PTSD, mood disorders (such as depression, bipolar disorder, DMDD), anxiety disorders (generalized, social, panic, phobias), body acceptance, weight inclusivity, sex positivity/kink/polyamory, and personality disorders.

My clinical approaches are grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Intuitive Eating (IE), and Health At Every Size (HAES). Together, we will explore past and present struggles, set achievable goals, identify patterns in mood and behavior, and develop healthier coping strategies, all while fostering a more compassionate view of yourself.

As a clinician, I bring my own experiences and understanding of struggle into my practice. Therapy is a judgment-free space, and I want you to know you're not alone. Our work together will center on your unique experience and perspective. While many people share similar concerns, each person’s journey is distinct, and I am committed to tailoring the therapeutic process to fit your needs and goals.

My aim is to support you in exploring the intersection of your identities, cultivating self-acceptance, and finding functional ways to navigate an ever-changing world. I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward growth and healing.
